There is no doubt, Friday nights are a really fun time for everyone in the community. We want to make sure we provide a great environment so everyone can enjoy the game. We learned a lot in opening the stadium last year regarding what works and what doesn’t work with operations and managing people/students. After discussing this with admin in all buildings this fall, we want to provide some guidance on how we can best manage everyone who would like to attend and keep them safe, alongside making sure our stadium is well-cared for in the process. Please see the guidance below for all age groups:
- High School Students: will continue to have the HS student section on the north side of the home bleachers. This is marked on fences. Mr. Brand will be there to help monitor those students.
- Middle School Students: NEW this fall – Middle School students ONLY will be allowed in the fenced-in area inside the track on the turf. (No elementary students will be allowed inside the track.) Mr. Haugse and Mr. Truitt will be there to help monitor that area. Last year was overwhelming with the number of both elementary and middle school students in that area and we simply cannot manage those numbers. In addition, we reached out to other schools in the conference and found most schools have a designated area for middle schools students, and we wanted to provide an area for them. We ask that middle school students watch the game or play respectfully in that area. No tackle football. NO FOOD OR DRINK ON THE TURF.
- Elementary Students: NEW this fall – There will be NO supervision provided for elementary students, thus we do NOT have a designated area for them. Elementary students should watch the game with their parents and they are the responsibility of the parents throughout the evening.
- Parents are allowed inside the track (NO FOOD OR DRINK ON THE TRACK or TURF). We will continue to put up barricades so fans can get onto the field and watch from a closer distance.
- North of the bleachers (Track shed and Scoreboard area) will continue to be closed off to all people.
Hopefully, this guidance helps everyone – thank you for helping make Friday nights the best they can be!
Go Mustangs!
