Mount Vernon Principal, Steve Brand, high school teachers Maggie Willems and Kevin Murray, and School Board President Nannette Gunn presented at the Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) Convention this week. They spoke to Superintendents and School Board Members from across the State of Iowa about the J-Term program that is offered to eighth-grade and high school students each year in January. 

Mount Vernon Superintendent, Dr. Greg Batenhorst said, “This is one of the proudest moments of my Mount Vernon tenure, as we are presenting at the IASB Convention about our J-Term program! Thank you, Steve, Nannette, Maggie, and Kevin for sharing your expertise and passion with school board members and superintendents from across the state!”
