During its next regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 15, 2021, the Mount Vernon Community School District will discuss its plans for the use of approximately $300,000 in funds received from the federal government to pay for expenses related to offering school during the COVID-19 pandemic. The following are the categories for the expenditure of these funds:
- Addressing student learning loss
- Summer teaching
- Technology support of 1:1 initiative
- Substitute staff hiring
- Other COVID-19 related work by employees
- Sanitizing buildings and buses
